Broken Bay Catholic School Parent Council

Valuing Our Parent Community

At St Gerard’s, we recognise parents and carers as the first and most important educators of their children. We are committed to working in partnership with families to nurture every child’s learning, wellbeing, and faith journey.

Catholic School Parents Broken Bay (CSPBB)

Broken Bay Catholic School Parents (CSPBB) is the peak representational body for parents and carers of children attending systemic Catholic schools in the Diocese of Broken Bay. CSPBB is formally recognised by The Most Rev Anthony Randazzo, Bishop of Broken Bay, and by Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB).

CSPBB works in partnership with schools, parents, and parishes to strengthen parent engagement in faith, learning, and wellbeing. Through this connection, parents at St Gerard’s are part of a much larger community of support and representation.

Wider Representation

CSBB also facilitates parent representation on the Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP) NSW/ACT, the peak body representing parents and carers of students in Catholic schools across New South Wales and the ACT. This ensures the voice of Broken Bay families, including those at St Gerard’s, is heard at both the Diocesan and State levels.

Supporting Families

Through CSPBB, parents and carers are provided with:

  • Parent Education – Free seminars and workshops on topics such as resilience, literacy, and student wellbeing.

  • Resources & News – Guidance and regular updates through Broken Bay Parent News.

  • Parent Leadership – Opportunities to contribute to their school community and the wider Diocese.

  • Representation – Each school elects a CSPBB representative to attend meetings, share ideas, and strengthen the parent voice.

Why This Matters at St Gerard’s

By engaging with CSPBB, our families are connected to a supportive network that encourages collaboration, celebrates diversity, and helps ensure every child thrives in their Catholic education.
