Congratulations to the St Gerard’s Senior Band, who proudly represented our school at the Hills Music Festival last Friday evening.
The evening began with a wonderful opening act by two of our Year 6 students, who confidently presented a short skit and read beautifully as they introduced the band to the audience.
Performing three musical pieces, our students demonstrated confidence, strong musicianship and excellent teamwork. Under the guidance of their conductor, Ms Sarah Davy. The band responded beautifully to the conductor’s direction, showcasing their hard work and dedication throughout the performance.
The adjudicator praised the band’s musicality and performance quality, recognising the effort and commitment the students have shown in developing their skills.
We are delighted to share that the St Gerard’s Senior Band was awarded a Gold Award Trophy in recognition of their outstanding performance!
Congratulations to all of our talented band members, our Year 6 presenters, Ms Sarah Davy, and our families for their ongoing encouragement and support of music at home. We are incredibly proud of this wonderful achievement.
